Emily Procter

 American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne in CBS's police procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on the 8th of October in 1968. She was adopted as a child by William Procter, a general physician, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. They raised her in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old at the time her parents divorced. Whit is her elder brother, and she is also an adopted child.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter was educated in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a television anchor for the WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. Following graduation, she was awarded degrees in journalism and dance.
